Munchkin Studios' Newest Single!

Hello Everyone,
The Munchkin has a new hit single out. The song was written for her boyfriend, Spencer.

And, please take note of all the nifty tricks used by my father in recording this song. Since I can't explain all he did, I'm just going to copy and paste his description of how he made some of the sounds. That way you can appreciate how clever he is.....

"
The fiddle was done by using Vienna Symphonic Library solo viola samples. Obviously they never intended for anyone to turn them into a fiddle. The samples were intended for orchestral music so the samples were pretty straight. To get that hicked up sound, I used Antares AutoTune to create pitch shifts that sound like a violinist sliding their fingers while bowing the string. Sounds pretty convincing. This is also the first track I’ve recorded using the Hofner bass I picked up at Christmas and it worked extremely well. If you really have your ears on, you might even notice a touch of cowbell during the chorus. Please no “More Cowbell” jokes here. I just couldn’t help myself. Finally, the banjo is my Fender 5-string. I had fits trying to figure out how to record it because normal mic techniques just didn’t work. I ended up calling Adam Speth to find out how he setup for recording his banjo and he gave me some tips that helped me get pretty close to the mark. I’ll get it better next time. The acoustic is my old Guild and the electric is my Fender Strat recorded clean with a touch of chorus."

Anyhoo, without further ado....here's the song.
