I just thought I'd pass on some useless information.
Random Fact 1:
The word bonfire is rooted in two different words: bone and fire. They called it a bone-fire because they were burning witches and they needed the fire hot enough to burn the bones--hence: bonfire.

Random Fact 2:
Many people often wonder (well at least I did) about the alternate spellings: night and nite. Both spellings are correct. However, "nite" is the preferred spelling when you are referring to entertainment and night is the preferred spelling for everything else. There is some argument as to why this is the case but it is commonly believed that the "nite" spelling is used in entertainment because it's easier to make neon signs with that spelling.
