Television Editing

I have always found rated R movies on television pretty funny. I find censorship in general pretty funny. One of my favorite stories about censorship was told to me by a former mission companion. He's got a kid (most of my companions do by now) so he uses a program called Clear Play. I guess the program scans the subtitles for prohibited words and then replaces offensive words with a more child-friendly substitute. Well, his kid was watching a cartoon about a farm and a rooster woke up to crow. But, since cock-adoodle-doo begins with a prohibited word, the rooster's crow was replaced with "jerk-adoodle-doo."

Well, in that spirit, here is some of the best editing ever done for television. This clip is from the cinematic masterpiece Snakes on a Plane.

Anyway, here is some good cheer for you all to follow up my last rather cynical post. Take care everyone!
